Project Engineer (Pumps) (#26-484)
Location: Katy, TX
Key Responsibilities
Review project proposals, specifications, and inspection reports to determine engineering requirements, feasibility, and execution procedures
Create, review, and approve engineering drawings, including general arrangements, fabrication drawings, and layouts
Utilize and coordinate shared drafting resources within the engineering department
Review and approve specifications for engineered equipment and systems
Manage project timelines to support required delivery schedules
Assist the Project Manager with preparation and review of customer documentation
Perform drawing, specification, and document review and approval throughout the project lifecycle
Interpret and develop Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Ensure designs and documentation align with applicable industry codes and standards
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
Approximately 5 years of experience with rotating equipment and engineered systems, including pumps, motors, piping, valves, instrumentation, and modular skid packages
Experience with oil and gas equipment and fabricated pumping systems
Strong hands-on experience using SolidWorks, with proficiency in AutoCAD
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong skills in reading, developing, and reviewing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
Familiarity with ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, AWS D1.1, and applicable API specifications
Project management experience with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities
Demonstrates leadership ability while maintaining a collaborative team-oriented approach
