Are you a top-performing sales professional with a deep understanding of the structural steel and pipe industry? We have partnered with an industry-leading distributor and processor of structural tubular products to identify a highly driven Outside Sales professional.

If you are a "hunter" who thrives on building relationships with fabricators, contractors, and construction companies, this is an incredible opportunity to join a highly respected organization that gives its sales team a massive competitive advantage.

What You Will Do:

You will take ownership of your territory, driving revenue and expanding market share. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Business Development: Prospect, hunt, and close new accounts within the structural steel, heavy construction, foundation/piling, etc. markets.

  • Relationship Management: Cultivate and expand deep relationships with purchasing managers, project managers, and business owners.

  • Consultative Selling: Analyze customer project requirements and promote value-added services, including cutting & splicing-to-length, beveling, attaching conical points/end plates, and custom coatings/linings.

  • Strategic Quoting & Negotiation: Prepare accurate bids, negotiate pricing, and close high-value deals while protecting profit margins.

  • Market Strategy: Keep a pulse on local market trends, competitor activity, and upcoming infrastructure projects to strategically position the company for new opportunities.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with inside sales, procurement, and yard operations to ensure seamless custom processing and on-time delivery for your clients.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Industry Experience: 3–5+ years of outside B2B sales experience specifically in the structural steel, steel pipe, or heavy construction materials industry.

  • Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of structural pipe applications.

  • Established Network: An active book of business or strong existing relationships with steel fabricators, piling/foundation contractors, and resellers.

  • Sales DNA: A proven track record of crushing sales quotas, with a relentless drive to hunt for new business and a consultative approach to closing deals.
