Director of Sales - Power Generation (#26-489)

Position Summary
The Director of Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening customer relationships across industrial, energy, and infrastructure sectors. This role leads the full lifecycle of commercial activity, including pipeline development, customer acquisition, account growth, and partnership strategy.
The position develops and executes a metrics-driven sales strategy aligned with growth objectives, while ensuring alignment with engineering, manufacturing, and operational priorities.
Core Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy
Develop and execute sales strategy across industrial, oil & gas, data centers, utilities, microgrids, mining, and distributed power markets.
Define and drive market expansion plans.
Build and lead a sales team capable of managing complex technical sales cycles.
Align revenue targets, pricing models, and forecasting with leadership.
Revenue & Pipeline Management
Own revenue generation targets and deliver sustained growth.
Lead pipeline development, opportunity qualification, and forecasting accuracy.
Establish pricing strategies, commercial terms, and negotiation frameworks.
Monitor market trends and competitive activity.
Customer & Market Development
Identify and close opportunities with EPCs, integrators, distributors, and end users.
Expand and retain key customer relationships across regional and global markets.
Develop channel strategies and strategic partnerships.
Technical Sales Oversight
Review RFPs, RFQs, and customer requirements to ensure accurate scoping.
Ensure team proficiency in technical product knowledge and application fundamentals.
Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver proposals and solutions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and project teams to support execution.
Provide market feedback to support product development.
Collaborate with marketing on messaging and market presence.
Team Leadership
Hire, develop, and mentor sales and business development teams.
Drive accountability, customer focus, and performance.
Implement training across sales, technical knowledge, and customer engagement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field required (MBA preferred).
10+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or commercial leadership.
5+ years of sales team leadership experience.
Proven success in capital equipment or engineered systems sales.
Experience building pipelines and expanding customer accounts.
