Sales Director - Turbine Power Generation (#25-457)

Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Sales to lead and scale their commercial operations across North America and international markets. This executive-level role is responsible for developing and executing a robust sales strategy aligned with the company’s aggressive growth targets in the energy and industrial sectors. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience in technical solution selling, team leadership, and market expansion, particularly in turbine genset packaging, commissioning services, and engineered energy systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Sales Execution
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that supports corporate objectives and revenue growth targets.
Lead the sales forecasting, pipeline development, and performance tracking processes using CRM and analytics tools.
Identify and penetrate new markets, customer segments, and strategic partnerships to expand the company’s footprint.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales goals with product development, operations, and marketing initiatives.
Team Management & Development
Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing sales team, including regional managers, technical sales engineers, and inside sales support.
Establish clear KPIs, performance metrics, and incentive structures to drive accountability and motivation.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, customer-centricity, and technical excellence.
Customer & Market Engagement
Serve as the executive sponsor for key accounts, ensuring long-term relationships and customer satisfaction.
Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and deal structuring for complex, multi-million-dollar projects.
Represent the Company at industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Commissioning teams to ensure seamless delivery of customer solutions.
Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to inform product innovation and operational improvements.
Partner with HR and Finance to support hiring, budgeting, and incentive planning for the sales organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience in industrial, energy, or engineered systems sectors.
Demonstrated success in technical solution selling, especially in high-value capital equipment or energy systems.
Proven ability to build and scale sales teams, drive performance, and exceed revenue targets.
Strong experience in contract negotiation, pricing strategy, and deal structuring for complex, multi-stakeholder projects.
Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
