QC Superintendent (Manufacturing (#26-479)

Position Overview
The QC Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and continuously improving quality control programs, inspection processes, and testing activities within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures products meet established quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while supporting operational efficiency and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and maintain quality control systems, procedures, and inspection standards across all stages of production.
Develop, review, and analyze quality data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Establish inspection methods and acceptance criteria to ensure consistent product quality.
Partner with production and operations leadership to align quality objectives with manufacturing processes and cost goals.
Communicate quality expectations and requirements to management, inspectors, and hourly personnel.
Ensure all NDT equipment, laboratory tools, and testing devices are properly maintained, verified, and calibrated according to schedule.
Perform or oversee chemical and mechanical testing as needed.
Coordinate training programs to ensure the workforce meets quality procedures and standards.
Provide direct training and mentorship to quality inspectors.
Supervise inspection and testing personnel to maintain effective control over materials, facilities, and finished products.
Support investigation and resolution of quality claims, complaints, and nonconformances.
Coordinate and oversee third-party inspection activities, including scheduling and verification of work performed.
Assist customers with technical quality-related inquiries when required.
Conduct internal and external failure analysis and drive corrective actions.
Promote a safe and organized work environment through enforcement of safety policies and housekeeping standards.
Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Develop and lead a high-performing quality team with a focus on accountability and continuous improvement.
Review, approve, and manage employee time records and schedules.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Solid understanding of quality systems, inspection processes, and manufacturing operations.
Education and Experience
Minimum of 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
UT Level II certification preferred.
Mechanical testing laboratory experience preferred.
Associate degree preferred, equivalent experience considered.
Experience with ERP systems, including SAP, preferred.
