Manufacturing Sales Rep

Houston, TX (Remote)- 100K+

Job Summary:

This is an exciting opportunity to build on current sales strategies and provide support for our growth initiatives, including new and current customer optimization. This position is critical in preserving and forming long-term partnerships with customers.  The key areas of focus will be to: improve Company’s brand recognition, help boost financial growth, identify and create new product line opportunities, and form relationships with partners resulting in new customer referrals.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop Relationships and Demand

·       Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.

·       Create demand for existing and new products by calling on natural gas utilities, energy infrastructure companies, and pipe distributors.

·       Research potential new markets, recommend new products/processes and areas for future growth opportunities.

·       Communicate with customers and understand their product or service requirements; identify and source our products and services to meet those needs.

·       Conduct ongoing market research.

·       Prepare and deliver presentations to prospective customers.

·       Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.

·       Analyze market information to develop sales and product strategies.

Create targets and goals for customer acquisition and growth.

·       Establish tracking metrics for business development activities and reporting.

·       Track, identify, and add customers to sales pipeline.

·       Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship issues.

·       Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

·       Excellent sales and negotiation.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving.

·       Intermediate to Advanced skills preferred in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

·       Experience using Customer Relationship Management Software preferred.

Education & Experience:

·       Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or Business preferred.

·       Five to seven years of business development or related experience in sales, marketing, or business management.

·       Steel pipeline experience preferred.
