Outside Sales Engineer

JOB FUNCTION:
The Sales Engineer is responsible for the following:
Promoting company capabilities in the design and manufacture of rotating equipment, liquid handling and process modular systems to end users and EPC contractors in the Houston metro area by face to face sales calls, phone calls, lunch & learns, etc.
Obtaining Requests for Quotes (RFQs) from customers for funded projects while supporting customers for budgets
Creating and executing a strategy for conversion of an RFQ to a proposal & then a profitable order
Creating & maintaining a good customer perception of company products & personnel
Define & recommend core products, customers & strategies that will provide maximum value add and return for the organization
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Weekly sales calls to customer on the designated customer list (EPC Contractors and End Users).
Project tracking and sales strategy execution
Serve as liaison between operations and customers for sold projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
A minimum of five years direct sales experience selling rotating, measurement and process equipment.
Sound administrative skills and well-developed management skills.
Motivated to make routine face to face sales calls.
Computer skills in Windows based software systems.
