Fabrication Estimator (#26-518)

Job Summary
The Fabrication Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and quotations for custom fabrication projects, including skid packages, piping systems, and industrial equipment. This role works closely with customers, engineering, operations, and purchasing teams to develop competitive proposals while ensuring project profitability.
Responsibilities
Review RFQs, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Prepare labor, material, and equipment cost estimates.
Develop bills of material (BOMs) and material take-offs.
Obtain vendor and subcontractor pricing.
Interpret fabrication drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
Estimate skid and piping materials/hours from P&IDs.
Improve hour standard accuracy through quote verses closeout review and us of AI technology.
Coordinate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams.
Support project handoffs and maintain estimating documentation.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial estimating.
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of welding, piping, structural fabrication, and assembly processes preferred.
Strong math, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Experience with ERP systems, or estimating software is a plus.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
