Corporate Estimating Manager (#25-401)

Basic Functions: To establish and implement consistent procedures to be used by all estimators. To manage a team of approximately 8-10 Estimating Engineers by establishing assignments, schedules, and priorities and checking their work for technical correctness and compliance with corporate procedures.

Major Duties:

  • Review and improve existing estimating procedures, confirming departmental consistency

  • Establish and guide departmental and employees’ roles and objectives

  • Assign, schedule, and prioritize workload among the Estimating department

  • Review all technical proposals for design correctness and compliance with estimating procedures

  • Ensure compliance with established deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, with minimum of 10 years relevant experience.

  • Thorough understanding of design per ASME Sec VIII Div. 1, as well as fabrication and estimating methods related to pressure vessel and heat exchanger manufacturing.

  • In-depth knowledge of the various Materials of Construction in ASME Sec. II. Basic understanding of thermal process & familiarity with HTRI Skills

  • Read and interpret fabrication drawings and specifications. Exceptional communication skills, including technical writing.

  • Work independently, able to organize self and others Must be consistent in thought processes and work methodology

  • Working Conditions – Technical office setting
